Error Trap fixed it like a charm - Overwatch KEEPS everything fixed. Sims can harvest fruit to improve their skills and fulfill motives. I'd repaired my whole game using Error Trap (and an updated version of Overwatch) once the tree began giving me problems and even AFTER I'd 'uninstalled' the tree and its fruit from the Launcher. I did make a thread but I never bothered to Bookmark it for some reason. Sims 3 tree of prosperity can't pick fruit. You could have the very same set up as I do, and never have an issue w/ the tree. This game is peculiar in the way it acts.
I'd heard the tree was only fixed for those who'd purchased ITF and that's the only EP I don't have. Several Plasma Fruit are given to a Sim who has recently turned to a vampire. They require level 7 gardening to plant, as they are of the special variety.
Plasma fruit are important to Vampires, as they serve as a way to satisfy their thirst for plasma. But then after that, everything was fine and still is. The Sims 3 Late Night only adds one new type of plant to the game: The Plasma Fruit Plant. I just know it gave me problems and took awhile to get all 'traces' of the tree out of my game.
After a while I had issues with the tree, don't know why it took so long to start having issues (maybe because I"d just moved my sim families to new town? I dunno).
